Pelican Bay

Pelican Bay Summary

Pelican Bay is a large “pedestrian friendly” community that borders a large estuary along the beach. With the estuary, golf courses and landscaping, the area offers plenty of green space. Boardwalks wind through the mangrove preserve leading to the Gulf, where two private beach clubs for residents are located.

For residents who do not want to walk the half mile to the beach there is a tram that also runs to the beach. Pelican Bay has high rises, single family homes and condos. Pelican Bay residents have access to a great set of amenities including beach club, fitness club and tennis leagues.

At the north west end of Pelican Bay is Bay Colony. Bay Colony is a separate gated section within Pelican Bay has single family homes and high-rise condos within.

Pelican Bay Location

Pelican Bay residents are within walking or bike ride distance to the beach and approximately 10 minutes to downtown Naples. Shopping and the Naples Philharmonic is located conveniently to the area.

Pelican Bay High Rises

Pelican Bay offers a very nice selection of high rise condos. The high rises are located along the mangrove preserve that separates Pelican Bay from the beach. The buildings are between 18 and 22 stories tall. Generally residents on the fifth floor are higher than the mangrove trees and can see to the ocean. As you go to the higher floors the views become more expansive and dramatic. Some have views of the Gulf all the way to Sanibel Island – 30 miles away.

Some of the buildings have condo with both west and east views. The east view looks over the Pelican Bay community, and can offer glimpses of ponds, golf courses and other green space areas. The buildings can differ by quite a lot in terms of year built, opulence, views, price, lobbies and much more. The condos within are mostly 2 and 3 bedrooms, but much larger ones also exist in certain buildings.
