Naples Municipal Beach & Fishing Pier (Naples Pier)
Gorgeous pier on the water! It's a fantastic beach, and there are tons of different spots to enter at, so if you feel like it's too crowded at the pier entrance, you can always find a more isolated location. They have two volleyball nets set up next to the pier, and I think that's really neat. It's nice to have the option to play some volleyball with friends right off the ocean front.
My favorite part about the pier is standing on it watching pelicans swoop down and get fish. It's so crazy and fun to see normal parts of nature occur right in front of you. The sunset is just GORGEOUS to watch on the pier. It's such a romantic place to be, but even if not with a significant other, it's just breathtaking and beautiful.
At night you can still come fishing. Usually you will catch at night is a baby shark. A lot of local kids and romantic couples come to the pier at night.
There is a map of downtown Naples posted on the pier, as well as a seashell poster for you to see if what you found was any of those. It is nice and informational. The bathrooms are clean and they have water pickets everywhere for you to rinse your feet off from the sand. Overall, it is a very pleasant and enjoyable place to be!
Built in 1888 as a freight and passenger dock, The Naples Pier stands as a community landmark. Narrow gauge train rails spanning the length of the pier transported freight and baggage in the early 1900's. Part of the structure as well as the post office located on the pier was razed by fire in 1922. Rebuilt after damage by hurricanes in 1910, 1926 and 1960, it remains a public symbol of the area's history. Restroom facilities available, and small concession stand is located at the halfway point of the pier.
